Founded in 1995 by audio engineers Demetris Backlavas and Fanis Lagadinos, Ypsilon Electronics was born from a single mission: to replicate the raw emotion and naturalness of a live performance.
In 1994, discussing with a friend about his vision, I picked up a simple napkin and a pencil to sketch a logo, while listening to him talk with enthusiasm. As he spoke, my hand moved to capture the very essence of sound: a complex, minimalist geometry of concentric spirals forming the human cochlea and the vibration of a drum head. It was the first logo of my career, born on a scrap of paper during a passionate conversation.
I could never have imagined then that this humble sketch would one day become the global emblem for the absolute reference in high-end audio.
